The way in which real estate transactions occur is undergoing a fundamental shift and my philosophy and systems reflect the reality of that shift…the business is about relationships, not transactions. I work very hard to develop strong relationships with everyone I work with and to maintain those relationships over the years.

I have a deep connection to the community and its citizens. I was a member of the Collingwood Parks, Recreation and Culture Advisory Group for many years and was a board member, and Chair-Person of the Collingwood Information Centre. I am a founding Director of the Collingwood Paddling Club and continue to this day as a Director and Facilities Manager. In April 2021 I was appointed to the Collingwood Affordable Housing Task Force where I chaired the Policy and Process Sub-Committee. In September, 2022, I was elected as the Chairperson of the Task Force where I continue to do my best to help alleviate the housing affordability crisis in Collingwood and throughout the region.

I love to take clients and friends on tours through the countryside to show them all that we have to offer. I truly believe that Collingwood and the Blue Mountains is the best place in Ontario to live.

A licensed realtor since 1987 and a resident of Collingwood since 1985, my husband and I moved here shortly after graduation from the University of Waterloo. As avid skiers, cyclists, and paddlers, we were immediately attracted to the lifestyle that the Collingwood and Blue Mountain area offers and decided on careers that would allow us to live here full time. Prior to becoming a licensed realtor I was the Recreation Director at Cranberry Village. My husband, Chris Skelton is the co-founder of Porter Skelton and Associates, custom home builders and renovators.

My real estate career has been an exciting and rewarding journey. I have worked with diverse and interesting people in transactions spanning a geographical area from the southern reaches of Clearview Township to Meaford in the west. My business includes the sale and marketing of historic homes, new homes, new condominiums, recreational re-sale condos, farms, building lots, rural acreage, waterfront and commercial properties. My clients include local families, first time buyers, downsizing empty nesters and seniors, weekenders, and families and singles relocating to the Collingwood/Blue Mountain/Thornbury area for the lifestyle. I have worked hard over the years to build relationships of trust with my clients, colleagues and professional network and I am honoured and privileged to be rewarded with their trust as they recommend my services to their family, friends and clients. Almost 100% of my business is by referral and repeat business.

Years of experience has a resulted in a vast network of professionals who assist my clients in all aspects of the real estate transaction including, home stagers, plumbers, handypeople, painters, accountants, builders, lawyers and property maintenance professionals. No question, the pool of building trades people available to me through my relationship with Porter Skelton & Associates has been hugely beneficial to my business. Raising three busy kids in this community and being involved in their activities as a board member, volunteer or coach rounds out the community connections and local knowledge. Patrick, Jonathan and Hannah have kept us hopping for the last 22 years and actively involved in the area schools and community activities. Alpine skiing, nordic skiing, rugby, snowboarding, biathlon, triathlon, competitive swimming, figure skating, soccer, horseback riding, cycling, music, drama, art and flat water paddling.
